FYI: Just for some background on the shoot. This was taken at a Mexican Restaurant and these plants were hanging above, next to our dinner table. The item that assimilates furniture is actual lattice work on the ceiling w/ colorful poncho. The light through window is a large skylight. (By the way they had great food)

ed, a joke, a new barber or halloween? it might have made a good action portrait if you had come closer or cropped adequately. now the background clutter is very distracting and the face didn't get enough light.

Well, if your objective was to capture the sun, trying to capture it in a reflection from a convex surface like the glass lens sorta made it smaller, didn't it? I guess your subject (son?) is the real center of interest, and maybe you gotta know him to appreciate the composition?
