Well done Steve! Unfortunately, when I was at Denali park a few years ago, the mountain did not cooperate and hid in a shroud of fog all day. It did not appear until just a sunset. Saw it in the rear view mirror from the highway driving back to Fairbanks! A spectacular sight even from that great distance. Cheers, Bob

Well done Charlie! These shots of the eclipse are truly excellent. Good colour and detail in the moon. This is a testament not only to your skills as a photographer, but also to the quality of your camera. I've been wanting to pick up a C740, but will have to save my pennies a little longer! My entire eclipse collection is at

I was using my SLR with ASA 800 film . I would be interested in knowing what the metadata for you photos had to say about the exposure times used. Just call me a techie who craves details. ;-) Thanks for you kind comments on my photos of Banff Park. They were appreciated.
Cheers, Bob

Well done Matthew! You have nicely captured the mood of the storm and how small a person feels when up against the powerful forces of nature. Thanks for sharing this with us. Cheers, Bob

Spectacular image John! When I was there in early August, it was so smokey, we could hardly see Victoria Glacier. At about 3 pm, however, the wind changed and all was revealed. It was worth waiting it out! Well done!
