great one; I have similar shot of a seagull and a couple of them (in two different shot) on a lamp street near the coast in Naples; here seems to lack of some sharpness it could improve impact, for me, good colors though

In the thumbnail it looks like he is floating above the board. Judging by the light, I'd guess he's quitting for the day. My best surfing memory was a session when it was just getting to dark to see.

Very nice picture but there seems to be a problem with the focus. This needs a very good depth of field with the birds and lighthouse in sharp focus. I would also crop to portrait mode with the lighthouse and one bird if the focus could be corrected. I don't think that it can though.

I think that the picture should be perfectly horizontal and that you should close the aperture to obtain enough DOF.
