Eric .....For a low level dismal day in HongKong and flat water..... this is a great photograph. The composition is outstanding. And that little village tucked in the mountains adds so much. Super Image Eric.

Dear Hugo, I am so glad that you like this photo. I myself like it very much. Regarding the lighting source. It was from my desk fluorescent lamp. I am very amateur that I do not own any extra lighting equipments except an external Panasonic PE-36s electronic frash unit, which I am learning to use it. Thanks again for your comment. Regards. --Eric

Hi Eric, Intriguing image. What created the yellow tone? A Whitebalance thing? or an unusual lightsource? Í'm not sure if this is the most effective choice, but it sure is intriguing. I like the level of details and the DOF. Very nice image. The shadow of the bottle cap on the Heineken logo adds a nice element. Well cropped composition.
Cheers,
Hugo

Gotta love those solid, concrete road barriers instead of those cheap, metal ones to make us "think" we won't go over the edge.......
I like the gentle fade-away of the DOF, as it trails away to the left..... that's a nice touch, instead of having the whole thing be in deep focus - which would be a different feeling altogether, I think.
Cheers

Have I told you that I was in Hong Kong in 1982? I even have photos from there, I just have not yet come around to uploading them. You "Lotus" is marvelous, with the many shades of pink on pitch-black forming a perfect contrast. Thanks for your funny comment on my "Red barby dinner". It made me smile. Regards, Rafi

Clever Tin Tin. She is like the kings with tasters to make sure that they are not poisoned. Her poise is also that of a queen and you caught it very well. As to Rachel, Rachel can fall asleep in any circumstances and needs nothing to help her fall asleep. If anything, the radio and newspaper help her stay awake LOL... Thanks for commenting on the photo, Regards, Rafi
