I love this technique which you have used to great effect here - I must give it another go. I use PSP9, putting a mask over whatever I want to keep in colour then flicking the greyscale switch for the rest of the image.

This is complex - I've sat looking at it for quite a while... A great summary of rural America.

Hi Jessica. The colored pipe effect was created in Photoshop using layers and desaturating the big picture while leaving the color on the pipe. I'm really new at this and there are certainly many others here who could offer additional help. thanks for looking. patrick

great pic! Love the old fisherman look. Whatprogram did you use to turn the photo B&W and keep the pipe red?

Very interesting picture Patrick, good shoot with no tripod (Well, we can't take tripod everywhere, right ;-) ). Just a suggestion, maybe you should add warming filter (say 82A filter, or slight orange filter) to create warmer tone from fluorescent lights, just to warming it up a bit.... (well, I tried with software, but doesn't seemed to work as good as the real one...)

A really nice picture!
But maybe the building in the middle looks a bit leaning to the left?
Very sharp for 1 sec without tripod!

Beautiful night photography. As usual, there's that bumper-to-bumper traffic on "The Strip." This night shot of yours make my Vegas nights shot pale in comparison.

Patrick - This silvery shot reminds me of my Yorkie - Little Miss Muffin - who was 3 pounds. My hubby won't give in and let me get another dog. Thanks for the memory. -- Debby
