Francesca, One of the many thing about your artwork is your use of colour. You have a unique style. Bright, vibrant, and beautiful. I can recognize an image by you without looking at the name. Beautiful work. Bravisimo. Take care, Robin

Yeah I think it was a wise investment. I'm still at heart a purist who will be using my film cameras as there are still limitations that digital doesn't seem to do as well.

Paralax error due to the perspective. 28mm from the bottom of a hill looking up and to the right towards the church. I could have straightened the church in photoshop but then the tree would have leaned to the left.

Kostas, Thanks for the answer. Sorry about that, I must have forgotten to return to check your other image for the reply back in December. Must have been the holidays. Thanks again, Robin

Kostas, Beautiful results. After seeing your images I have attempted this from the interior of my auto with mixed results. How are You metering the lighting over such long exposures. I know that once You get into reciprocity failure that the exposure times do get lengthened. I am guessing that with such long exposures a little trial and error is the only way to meter the light captured. I also have not found anyone that carries the suction clamp that you have mentioned. Great image. I like the use of limiting the depth of field. Do you have a version that is not as tightly cropped?

Francesca, I see a Rastafarian with smoke coming out. His dreadlocks standing on end, and some LSD trip colors in his head. Cool experiment. Keep up the interesting images.

Always a interesting effect. You are more brave that I. --> I still don't know how you could trust mounting your camera to a tripod that is taped to the hood of your car. But, obviously, you haven't lost your camera yet that cullman mount must work very well. Great work, Kostas.

Glenn, This is a such a cute photo. Nothing can brighten up a day more than a happy baby.
I cleaned up the lighting and saturation a little for you. I hope You like it. I don't normally edit other peoples photos but this photo made me smile after a hard day at work.

Martin, I think the balance of the lighting caught my eye over the composition. Either You used the right graduated ND filter, or You have done some nice post-processing dodge and burn work. Either way it works. Shooting an object in shadow at sunset is not the easiest thing to do. When done right You can get a very nice image like this one. Good Job. Anne, Than you for You comment on my photo "A Long Time Gone". I've had the hardest time deciding which image I like better. This one, or "Miuka" blue toned and facing left. They are both great. You have a nice portfolio of work posted. Your self-portrait is beautiful. By the number of comments it has received, a few quite odd, I think they like You. Regards, Robin Dunham

That looks good also. I tryed cropping several different ways and I liked it as a panoramic. I have other images of this place. But if I go back there I want to take it with the barns and windmill back to the far left and the tree up front on the right 3rd line for depth. thanks for the input.

Tim, Beautiful composition. You have some very nice work in your portfolio.
Critique is usually only what you see in hindsight so if you thought of this already please disregard. Suggestions without having been there are hard to do. The snow is a little on the grey side. That may have been the lighting that you had to work with. Snow is hard to meter throught the lense. Some cameras do it better than others. Camera meters like to think that the world is a 18% gray card for metering so when it meters snow, it likes to make it grey also. Depending on a few variables You need to open 1/2 to 2 stops to get a better exposure. I would remove the wire leading up to the windmill and the tree limbs that are floating on the left hand side of the frame.
Again a beautiful scene. Great composition. The grey overcast sky does have a way of setting the tone of the image. Great work. Robin Dunham
