Ketil, I like the photo, but might have liked it better had there been better color? For the photo you have, I think the cropping is good (I like the small tree limb). But most of all, I like how you handled the DOF - canon's 100mm macro does a great job with this!

I know that Amitava Banerjea Does like this with a fast speed but I think this would have looked better slowed to about 1 sec just my opinion though. there is a time and place for a fast shutter speed. Still good though

The colors are great, but I'd have preferred much greater DoF. The trees in the distance appear out of focus. On the other hand I like the fact that the water is frozen by the fast shutter. That breaks out of the cliche that all flowing water must be motion blurred using a longer exposure.

I was surprised at the ranking on this photo! I think the lighting and shadowing are nice and I especially like the baby's expression. It may not be as "artistic" as many of the photos on this site, but this is a good portait! I might consider cropping, but? 6******

I love these kind of minimalistic photo's but an other, more colorfull leaf would have been better. For my feeling the branch also disturbes somewhat so qua composition it could be go in the right-up corner, pointing into the photo.
