Yes, the D50 is my new camera. I wanted a D70 but somehow I missed the memo both the D50 and the D70 were being discontinued. By the time I realized that, they were impossible to find new. I was lucky enough to grab the last new D50. Frankly, the D50 is plenty DSLR for me right now. =P It takes a while to get used to the controls. haha

Blinds always make a fun light play and so it works here too Carleen !! Is this your new camera ? I am not sure as it says NikkonD50 which i would be happy to have , but I thought you wanted a D80 ?
Regardless , nice light + shadow play !!!
Happy sunday dear Carleen,

AWESOME DOF which really gives this a unique twist. Love it! By the way . . . after messing with the wonderful images of your friends I saw the new Bio shot and tinkered with it too . . . I sincerely hope you don't mind. Send me an e-mail and I'll send it to you. It would make a great revised bio-pic if you like it! I added a glow to match your personality.

Carlen . . . she's beautiful!

On a tech level it's a tad overexposed . . . like my kitty is a tad feline! LoL! Still . . . I love the new approach in your work. I took this image and did a 30% soften using noise reduction and graduated the tones . . . it's what they do to those covergirl models and is very forgiving to minor imperfections. (Attached another copy I hope you like). The arm of the person behind her is distracting but it can't be helped. Also . . . (lecture time) . . . keep that rule of thirds in mind. Cropping off from the left makes a MUCH more dynamic image. Look at my reference photo and decide for yourself . . . but keep it up!!! I'm loving this style of yours and the pretty girls are great for my eyes!! LoL!

Warmest Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Wonderful in B&W Carlen. Now . . . if you don't mind.

I took the color image . . . and converted myself . . . using an orange filter for the B&W . . . and softening the image just a skoosh. I then adjusted light and added a High Pass overlay of 30% with a value of 1. I like what it did to the image (attached for your consideration) and since I don't know what you use to edit I don't know what your options are . . . but it's a lovely shot and I really wanted to play with it a bit. This gets you a 7 from me.

So what do you think?

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

Lovely shot of Pepe . . . she's a charmer and . . . in case you didn't know . . . she's a she! Boys have blue, not pink above the beak and the wide stance is from the egg laying female hips . . . males have their talons closer together. Pepe must be short for Pepeta! When we hand feed the hatchlings we call them phiranas! Very cool colors on her though! :)

Nooooooo! Don't fix it! It WILL mess it up and it looks great! VERY nice. Good exposure too. Handheld? If you want the reflection out . . . just shoot a different version from a different angle . . . but I'd leave THIS one alone! Excellent work! (Pssst . . . use a tripod)!
