There's plenty to like about this picture. Great use of the square format. Nicely composed picture with the placement of trees at the bottom 3rd. And excellent exposure for the clouds.

I like the saturated colours and grain-free pictures in your gallery, in particularly this one. Everytime I see a good digital picture, it makes me wonder if I should drop my old pentax. Good placement of the sun and the tree.

PS- thanks for your recent comment on my picture. I don't know much about the canon 10D or digital photography. I assume that you'll have to get the best picture you can before working with them in photoshop; if that means using filters, so be it.

For my seascape series, I use a warm-up to compensate for the bluish tone on velvia while taking long exposure and a split neutral density filter to control the overly bright sky during sunsets.

I take pictures when it's getting dark because that's when I'm free (yes, I have to work).

Everything about this picture is nice. I like the snow, composition and the truck coming into the picture.

I think this place has a lot of potential for sunset/sunrise shots.

Nicely composed picture - I like the use of the rule of 3rds in framing this picture and also the B&W format.

I won't complain about the fence at the back. This is a very nice picture-art.

A very nice watch and composition. I also like the dark background. HOwever, the reflections on the watch is a bit distracting and could be removed with a polarizing filter.

What a nice find ~ you do have an eye (or two) for details.

ps. Thanks very much for your comment on Brighton#20.

nicely exposed picture for the buildings. I'd like to see it in a panoramic crop but this is nice too.

Nice positioning of the moon ~ framed inside the rocks.

I would prefer a larger moon(digital layering in PS, or multiple exposure with a longer telephoto) but this is nice all the same. This is more realistic.

A nicely composed picture.

The foreground although not sharply focused, works for this kind of picture. It has a sense of nostalgia and vintage look.

Best regards, Chee.

A very nice panoramic view. I'm a big fan of lonely-looking pictures with wide open spaces and I think you have done well in this one.

You have an eye for composition, Ana. Love the low vantage point to bring out the foreground. But I would prefer a greater depth of field. If you're using an SLR or DSLR, try repositioning the focusing ring to hyperfocal setting i.e. the infinity on the f-stop mark.

Excellent picture with just enough blurring to suggest movements. Agreed with Michael that the spots can be distracting but can be fixed easily in PhotoShop.

Good composition and excellent location for some slow shutter work, Ray.

Very often, foresty pictures tend towards the blue colour range especially when you're using a polariser. This can be "corrected" with a light warming filter, e.g. 81B.

The shutter speed can be reduced further to smooth out the water by using a neutral density filter (and small aperture).

For maximum depth of field, you could adjust the focusing ring to hyperfoccal settings.

best of luck.

excellent composition and I like the tonal range of this picture. I see seagulls at my favorite photo-spot but have never actually been fast enough to change to a telephoto lens on my camera.

A very nice portrait of the eagle. Very fearsome gaze and lovely smooth details of the feathers.

ps thanks for your comment and adjustment of my digital file ~ it does look better.

Out of this world! You sure do get lots of interesting cloud formations in Australia. Agreed with Hugo - the person at the bottom of the picture gives a sense of scale to the picture.
