I was so impressed with this subtle and really beautiful portrait that I visited your website. Lots of beautiful work there, and I was tremendously impressed by the originality of your wedding albums and the way you could take half a dozen or more portraits of a senior--each capturing a different "look"--and make them into a coherent whole. Returning to this portrait, the immediacy and power of that gaze is astonishing. I feel as if I am the one being looked at, not that I am looking at a print. The intelligence, humour and sensitivity of this woman come through so strongly. I hope you continue to post your photos on usefilm. I would like to think I could learn something from you.

James, this is a beautiful portrait. Nice work with PS to transpose to B&W. The tones are wonderful and the clarity and sharpness is great. DOF is nice too. Look forward to seeing more of your work here at Usefilm

I don't know which is more beautiful, your model or your camera. In any case, nice portrait, and lovely expression.

This is a very good portrait. I would have liked to see the window a little further to the left though. Since the boy is standing to the right portion of the picture, maybe it could have been taken at an angle allowing the window to counterbalance more on the left side without actually going as close to the side of the picture as the boy is to the other side. In other words, a kind of non symetric balance...
