Thanks for all your comments Mary. I have been distracted by other activities, but hopefully will have more time for photographic pursuits this winter.

The poor thing looks like Swiss cheese. It was loved and cared for at one time. The part facing us almost looks like a face. Neat shot.

It's amazing how it is still standing. There looks to be nothing holding it up. Your choice of B&W really helps set the mood for this one.

This is a cute little car. I'll bet it is a lot easy on gas than our half ton truck. Red goes faster, you know. But be careful, Richard, the police are really getting after speeders these days.

It's me again. The light is what it should be because that is what it is. (If that makes sense.)

I like this one of these two. Taking it from a little distance puts it into its comfortable setting which helps tell its story. Wouldn't it be wonderful to hear the stories these houses have to tell? Well, some of the stories.

Okay, so maybe I don't know what I'm talking about. Having said what I did before, with this one, I like this B&W version better. The varying shades of grey and black and white suits this so well There is something quite classic about it. This is lovely.

I love this one. The composition is beautiful. I prefer these with this golden tone. For me, it makes it as though I were standing there seeing the house. Your series is great. I really am enjoying looking at them. People who live in cities often miss out on seeing these pieces of history--what a shame.

You have found some fabulous houses to photograph. You have preserved their details and texures so grandly. I really like the golden tone to this.

This is a wonderful shot. The greyish tone emphasizes the emptines of the empty house. I like how the house, though abandonned, still stands proudly knowing the even in this stage, it has a precious beauty. Great capture.

Thanks Fadel. I am still having problems with sharp/unsharp images for the net. With prints I am able to get it right, with usefilm.com I struggle.

This one is beautiful too, but I feel the sharpness it bit high (noticable in the trees), but regardless this is a beautiful shot!

Yes Ashley, the phases come and go. I think that it is part of the learning process. I only recently started experimenting with colour photography, I wonder if that is a phase too.
