This is my second picture in which I superimposed the person/background... I was pulling your leg and tried to see how many of you would see it...

Greg, It's not a play. I just shut this while the designer spotted something on the dress he designed and tried to pix it before I took the photo.

I believe portra comes in 160, not 120. You have to work a bit on the focusing. Sometimes you might be too close to the subject and your camera will not focus. I have a Contax G1 and can't get closer than .5m using my 45 lens. Otherwise quite good.

Alex, this photo was taken with natural light and one reflector that I placed against one of the trash carts. Can't do much more with that...

Something right in between Lynch and Gordin... plus a little bit of Aronofsky mixed in. Delicious! My wall would be proud to have this one hanging on it. Worth sticking with usefilm for so long through thick and thin for moments like this.

I'll be printing it tonight. One of those you think might have a potential by looking at the negative. Again, found in my bottom frawer...

Nice selective focusing. Not easy when combined with high key.

"underexposed" Depending on what you want... Think of how you can take a street portrait of a person with dark skin and a white shirt usig a slide film... 1/3 of a stop up and you got an overblown shirt... Ciao

Steven, my first studio shoot ever was on April 15th of this year. I never took any class nor read a single chapter on lighting systems. I asked friends that know about it and the rest was my creativity+trial+error... You will know right away if you have it. Just remember- see with your meter, not your eyes.

It was a cool dress. The bottom layer was much brighter than the top one. You could not see it in daylight, but with a strobe it shows. Wherever the layers touch you can see the brighter fabric picking through...

Oh, C'mon. You can recommend me anything on anyday. I posted this pic just because I like the lighting. I've been trying lately to create some surreal athmosfere in my photos, but I have alot to learn.

OK. After screaming for a bit... this is great. My only question is Why is it tilted? You could have tilted this more or not at all. It looks a bit like one of those computer games, but desaturated. Cool effect. The light is very, very nice. Great control.
