I wandered by and thought this was a pretty cool looking stump. And just think, that tree was probably perfectly happy until that geyser popped up and roasted it.

A wonderful landscape, Blaine. The rich colours and detailed perspective, exceptional. I agree with Kim, about the bit of foliage, it does need cropping to attain a perfect image.
The more I see of Canada, on this site, the more I want to go.

I know what you mean, there is just so much beauty and wonderful colours in the lake and their surroundings it is almost unreal. Love this, a really wonderful capture of Moraine lake fabulous colours and reflections

A beautiful shot, Blaine, Moraine Lake is certainly one of the best scenic areas around Banff! Small point, but your location says "USA"!

Thanks, Todd. I had no idea that this was on the back of the bill. Of course, I spent about a week just trying to figure out which denomination was which. It is a mind-bogglingly beautiful land.

I can't believe I lived in Calgary and never went to Morraine Lake... it's so stunning!
This image really shows how beautiful it can be... bold blue skies, rich green trees, crystal clear lake water... the exposure is perfect and I like the inclusion of the foreground blowdown... really makes me feel like I am there.
(the top right I would clone out the tree branch that is peeking in... just something that I noticed that keeps pulling my eye up there)
