nicely done in my opinion. hard to squeeze the entire temple into one shot but you managed to get a lot of it in. may i suggest adding a bit of contrast and adjust the brightness a little?

good work. james

That's really nice. Very soothing. Just the thing for today - March the 8th., the fifth 'anniversary' of the Taliban's savage destruction of The Buddhas of Bamiyan.

Peace.

Great abstract, love the repitition of shape and how they are all slightly different colours and shades. The occasional flash of silver adds a bit of sparkle. Nice work.

Thanks.

A tourist portrait? Very nice, very upbeat. The toning is a little on the heavy side, but acceptable.

Best advice I could give you: Try to find good slide/negative scanner. Scan your film with high, very high resolution. Play with it in Adobe photoshop, adjust brightnes/contast differently in each file. Do test printing. You will select the best and will be very happy with result.

Nice pic. I like the composition and the depth.

The haze usually happens when you scan, especilly with not-so-good scanners. Usually you can fix it with Photoshop or even with Neat Image. With the latter it's rather easy to get the pics to look better quickly.

Regards.

Hi Ula and Bob. The picture is of the White Sands National Monument in New Mexico, USA. Believe it or now, it's actually gypsum sand, not snow. I too find that the picture looks hazy, this is something that appeared only after I scanned the photo from the print. Do all scanners add this 'haze' to a scanned photo, or am I missing an important setting/step?

Thanks all!

This would be so much better if it were sharper, and perhaps if you'd used a tripod and a UV haze filter.
