Thank you Rajdeep for your comment. I wasn't thinking minimalism as I took it but yes it is. My mind was probably on the vastness and aloneness of the ocean.

Chris

Hello Cathy,
Good to hear from you & thank you for the comments. It's a quite large outdoor sculpture at the National Gallery, Canberra and suspended at the entrance side. Unfortunately I don't know the title or sculptors name.
Cheers,
Chris

Cool image! I had to put my glasses on to figure out what is going on here. Good strong composition, love the simplicity, and the curiosity factor. Neither Trev nor I can determine what it is. The blue frame sets it off beautifully. CC

Whoa!!! comment number one-heavy!!!
Had a good chuckle.

Have a challenge for you: Alex is off overseas on Monday, her D70 has developed an electrical fault in the past 2 days. What would you recommend we do to find another D70 body by Sunday? Internet? Camera Stores?? CC

Chris, I like the way you have cropped this image as it would have been easy to have cropped out the black. The black adds great contrast to the orange and a feeling of balance, of otherness.
cheers

Hi guys! I like this, the rich colours of the bird contrast nicely with the muted tones of the background.
Happy New Year!
We've had a great couple of weeks, had Maylee for 7 days over Christmas, a nice new years gathering, Em's Chris's b'day and now Trev's b'day. I don't think my waistline will ever recover! Must catch up soon. CC
