I like the texture and colours but the structure is too large. I feel overwhelmed by it. Perhaps it would be better to concentrate on a small section of the sculpture and highlight the colours and textures

I agree with Ron.
Compact camera is not good enough for such type of photos.
I'd think about balance between different parts of this image (mainly top and bottom)

I really like what you tried to do here. There is a lot of noise in the background of the subject, which is rather distracting. I see you shot in JPEG. I highly recommend shooting in RAW, and using software such as LightRoom to process your photo. You will be very pleased with the results. You definitely have an eye for photography.
