Thnks for your comments. This is a seldom seen thing, and each year, less is left to photograph.

Normally it should be saved as EXIF data. Depends what software you are using, but try looking up EXIF in Help. I get the info from DiMage Viewer software that came with my Minolta A2. I can also access it through Picture Gear that came with my Sony laptop. Hope this helps...

Thanks for your comments. I have the image still in my D70, but as far as I recall, it was f/16 on Aperature; being a bright day, the speed was up around 125, @ 200 ASA.

Perhaps you could tell me how to find this information, if the images is still in my camera.?

Thanks for your comments. I'm now pulling up stuff from my archives; getting desperate, i guess.

With the weather now in a constant state of drizzle, it's goingto be along winter!

Hey fella, you'r talking about my bathroom!(VBG)This is an old old slide, originally in color, KR 64, and changed to B & W, i.e. Saturation.

It's rare now, to find such good stuff as this!

Thanks for your comments. It was in 1989 that I took this picture. As far as I am aware, the trams are still clanking along. As is the Star Ferry, and numerous other things.

I spent 3 months in HK, and miss it, but from what my wife tells me(fram a later visit) things are changing( not for the better).

What a scene of dilapidation and neglect! Nicely done, Walt, you've caught the textures and detail very well.

Thanks again. As I said before, this is a permanent fixture in a small town and I've been by it many times. It's part of a tourist place to eat and sleep over.

The sun was in the right place so I decided to try to get creative and see what I could do with this D70 combo.

Now I can go back sometime and get more(if I'm so inclined).

Thanks again. I've been by this place at leat a dozen times or more, but the sun was just right, and I wanted to see how the D70 would handle it.
It's been closed for years!

nice. but i think it would be beter if you got the shadows even darker, with no details at all.
also i would try to crop even more ( i would have tried on the spot and not with PS)so you wil stay only with this yellow wal at the back, nothing else on the sides.
happy new year,
Uri.

thnks for your comments, and suggestions. I can see how they do not help the composition. This was about the first day that I have used this D70 digital.

Got to start paying more attention the the WB use and the Mode; taking notes may be helpful. Ithink I had it on Auto, so the WB was auto also.

I see what you wanted to capture, i just feel there is alot of miss in the shadow, if it was forming a complete form without the vertical and the left lines, it would be much better.
Keep trying Walt, you are doing great

Let's see, there have been about 12 people approx. in the last year that have died or been rescued off of Mt Rainier. It's only about 14,000 feet but from what I understand, there are many crevasses, with snow bridges that tend to break, snow storms, thin air, etc.

I have driven all around it, and while it looks easy, I wouldn't (couldn't) do it if I had 50 chances.

nearby towns have installed alarms in case of "mud flows", whic is entirely possible. This is a dormant volcano, also.

This is a natural shot with no tweaking other then a bit sharpening; I use PI-7, don't have PhotoShop.

BTW, thanks for your comments.

Great shot Walt! You ever worry about the mountain blowing it's top? I think I see a route up.

I fiddeld a bit with this in Photoshop. It's very tweakable. Didn't save it though.
