I'm with Charles, I like this. Great lighting. The model's pose makes you wonder what she was thinking.

Kind of an off-beat, but effective image that is hard to critique. I think some will like it, others not. I like it and would love to see other images of this very cute model.

hello Terrence,

Thanks for the comments.
It was exactly my intentions to post this photo the way you describe it.
As this is from a contact sheet. I wanted it more artsy (IMHO) looking than technically anything. I wanted the frames to show the negs.
Your opinion is appreciated, though.

Looks interesting in the floating dreamy way it has going for it, tone definitely helps that, but the light fall off on the left side, small display size, and messy presentation make it more difficult to critique

Unique framing and a great pose. This is an eye catcher! I like the vibrant yellow backgrond! His face seems a tad washed out, though, since his body is quite tanned.
Great shot!

Hi Alisa,

Thanks so much.
I do enjoy this little camera and don't really feel like it is a toy (as others perceive it to be)
Yeah, if you can one it can be quite addicting to use it.
Take care.

Thanks Nanette.
Yes, I may need more DOF , but it is a LOMO I am using here.

I actually have a copy of this which has been cropped at the bottom part to show more of the image as an abstract.
But I preferred to show it as the architecture of the DC airport in a different light and for some reason the yellow showed more that afternoon.

I've been reading the comments and have to agree with what has been said. I would like to see that building in the middle of the bolt dead center. What a fun and interesting project to pursue with this eyebolt. Great find Lyza.

I can see what you've tried to do with this shot, good idea. But you need to get much closer to the bolt to
make it work. There is far too much out-of-focus foreground and sky for this to be effective. Also, the bolt
needs to be in focus at this range. Perhaps try this again if possible, get much closer to the bolt. Take a lower
perspective, gaze around from different angles and see what is " framed" within the bolt. Lot's of possibilities
here, well worth another try.

What this really needs is an in-focus foreground and some interesting subject framed by the bolt. Doesn't have to be a naked woman, but it's a thought. Sort of a peeping-tom look. As far as focus control is concerned, I don't think you have that with your Lomo. But it would help.

At first i thought it was a giant roller skating wheel cruising by on the sidewalk...sooooo surreal....great job. My mind is still having a hard time believing its not moving.

Nanette and Detlef,

Thanks very much for the comments.
I also like the pose , unfortunately that's what I filled the frame in so it is kind of cut off ( her hands, thighs and hips). I might have to educate myself more on my scanner
as it has blurred the image. Also I actually put a diffuser filter on the camera lens.
It was actually my intention to do this. To do a hard look and show a come-hither soft aspect.
Hoping I make sense.
thanks again.

I like it. Quite interesting to be sure. Love the way the sun is shining on just the legs. How cool and to have seen this and wanting to snap at it is quite the interesting thought. Well seen Lyza..And also welcome to Usefilm. Have a ball and learn alot is what this site is all about; to me, anyway.

Hello Arthur,

Thanks for the compliments.
I agree that the tulips'highlites look blown out.
I wanted to show more detail and maybe adjust the image thru phot shop...But I haven't figured it out YET.
And since I was experimenting with a flash here this is what I got. Or maybe I should concentrate more in my darkroom when printing the positive.
anyway..thank you.

Hey Lyza...The composition of this photograph really caught my eye. I also like the contrast and the feeling of movement in the image. Some small suggestions and strictly my personal opinion:

Some of the highlites seem blown out
I would like to see more focus on most of the flowers

Very nice!

I like the subject, but I would ditch the teal border. It draws the eye away from the image. Spacey.
