Regina:

The only way I could offer you the link to similar photo that contains additional details [in the embeded links in Photographer's noe] is to post that to the end of my "ABOUT". Please refer to that for many info you may be interested in.

Thank You.

Thank You, Regina. for your kind words.

I regret that USEFILM does not support html links, so I failed to give you quick access to more details about mentioned cakes and Vietnamese New Year Day.

I am going to try if I can give the link to other posting...

Have a good day!

It's a beautiful picture and thank you for the story. Her expression of cautious happiness. Glad you stopped when they asked. she is dressed quite nicely for the work she seems to be doing. The babies expression is really cute.

Your portraits are very strong and stunning but why don't they take any "rating" or "hits"? I don't understand how does it work! Only ten people hit this frame in a week? We are doing something wrong (!) )) Maybe you should take waves or clouds. ))
Beautiful and pure smile you captured again. Congratulations!

Great shot. Wonderful commentary.

BTW: Have you seen the China pictures by Magnus Beierlein? http://www.usefilm.com/photographer/63597.html You might enjoy his work as well.

Parabéns!

Hi Carla:

- You will have to be a little more brave next time you come across the food vendors and let us know how tasty critters are. (A= If you offer me a ticket to return to this location, I think I must try and report the taste to you!)

-Are they bees and scorpions? (A= The left tray contains crickets, the right one scorpions).

Have a good immagination!

This is very pretty. I like the red against the soft snow background and the refection of the berries in the water. Nice job.

As creepy as these little guys appear, the colors go well together to make a photo. You will have to be a little more brave next time you come across the food vendors and let us know how tasty critters are. Are they bees and scorpions?

Thank You, Howie, for your kind words.

Regarding "investment", I went the opposite way. I used my EOS3 as primary body, with more than 60 rolls from China through Vietnam last summer. After returning home, I forced myself to learn digital, and packed the EOS3, listing the 28-135mm IS lens in ebay. Instead, I am going to return to the location (Sa Pa) next month with EOS 10D (10D because the 20D is out of my reach).

I hope to have something better to post by middle of March 2005. So far, I believe shooting digital with camera above 6.3 megapixels + RAW format + Capture-One post-processing can be better than film. I hope the next trip will confirm this...

Have a good day!

Ngythanh;

Great composition and colors. The color tone really set the mood of the shot...I think you captured some of your youthful past.

Wonderful shot--and thanks for the interesting notes. My wife tells of wonderful roasted yams from street vendors--a little more to my taste than some of the delicacies you mention. On balance, I suppose I'd rather watch than eat!
