Thank you shirley, It nice to hear from an oregonian, I was there at Portand, OHSU, for 2 years as part of my training mid nineties. Its a beautiful state. I miss it terribly.

Hi avi, Thanks for the comment on the picture. the original actually showed the flowers on just the right exposure but the butterfly was slightly shadowed, thus I enhanced the contrast and brightness to better exposed the butterfly's face which of course overexposed the flowers. The thing with digitals is that its contrast tolerance is limited compared to film. Maybe somthing better would to double exposed for one for the flower and one for the butterfly then sandwiched them.

The color jumps out. It looks like you were trying to keep the top background out of the shot. The boats feel a little crowded toward the top. A minor detail. The exposure is perfect. Andree
