Benjamin,

I love the symmetrical look down the center of this wonderful capture. I also like the rule of 3rds you used regarding the power line post on the left and the foreground posts.

The only thing that bugs me is the small lens spot on the second wire from the top on the right. I will address the grain, brightness and contrast at a later time.

More technical data is needed, so that I might help improve this shot more...

Well done indeed,

Martin

PS. Now that’s a critique my friend…

Benjamin,

I love your choice regarding the DOF, as it blurred the forground weeds and the background was not distracting at all. Wonderful bokeh regarding your glass. I'll bet that set you back a buck, or 2... I hear the Nikon D series is pretty awesome.

Although I can still see the forground weeds across the birds body, it might be corrected by adjusting the brightness and contrast in Photo Shop? I haven't played in PS enough to say.

You see, it's not what you say, but how you say it...

Well done my friend,

Martin

Incredible details shown here Ben. The costume is exsquisite. Do you have any shot showing more of the costume cause it's fantastic. Great shot. really interesting stuff.

They have PowWows in Roberts? That place really IS cosmopolitan. She's gorgeous and all that beautiful turquoise satin and intricate beadwork is stunning. Lovely colours and a beaut photo Ben.

Oh my gosh....what a mangulated wreck!!! How did anyone survive that??? Must have been thrown from the car is all I can think of. Unbelievable!! I don't think I've EVER seen such a mess of a car in my life....even in a wrecking yard. WOW!!

I hope you don't mind, but I took the liberty of editing this one a bit. I have a d100 myself and I know some of the things you need to do to fix little exposure issues. Let me know what you think.

Very nice capture of this beautiful dancer, Benjamin. I assume it was dark and you had to use a flash?

We attended many pow wows while we lived in Arizona and were happy to find a large gathering here in Illinois. Take a look the series from that this year?s memorial day pow wow: http://www.usefilm.com/portfolio.php?uid=27122&offset=16

This photo exactly expresses my feelings when I drove cross-country and often outcried: "America is BIG!" COngrats: Gy.

Interesting shot. Colors seem a bit washed out. I would try darkening up the blacks.

Also beware there are a lot of people getting harassed by Homeland Security for taking photos of trains.

Excellent, Is this another case of a car deciding to drift off the road or was it a case of stupid bad driving?

I love the graphical quality in here Ben.

I specially like how the grass makes this horizontal lines and how the contrasted poles mix with the fog.

Hope to see more of those soon, and welcome to usefilm!

regards,
sérgio

nice shot...great lines and contrast. i'd give it a frame though, as the edges are kind of lost here.
