Thank you everybody for your kind words. I was not sure what kind of reaction this would get. To tell you the truth it is more than I expected.

I have to say that I was disappointed when I went to this location this year to find this tree had recently fallen over the falls and stuck there. Though in retrospect it made for a different view.

Yes, that crop would work nicely this being 18mm I've already chopped a lot off of the top. The focus is the branch and the background is the bonus so to speak on this photo. I've posted a few other views of this falls check them out.

Thanks

and thank you Chris and Pam

Had a perfect day to shoot this. It was gray with a light rain enabling slow shutter speeds for a later morning shoot.

Duh! Branch :-) Sorry Ed.
Well It's more than a branch. It's a large tree. This is a wide waterfall and at 12mm perhaps perspective is lost. Thanks for the comment.

"the brack is very distracting"? What is a brack? Since this is shot from a side angle and its a waterfall which has a strong bend to it where is the true horizon?

Only one word describes this "Lovely" with just enough fall colors.

Nice

I have to admit that I've been inactive here for sometime. It's been over a year since I've posted. I do have some newer work which I'll share.

Thanks everybody!

This was a lucky shot with perfect lightings. A burst of sunlight while it was lightly raining and I had my tripod.

The only filter I used was a Promaster UV. I did lighten up the rocks a tad using Photoshop.

This is a bit different for me. I have a large patch of Zinna's in my garden and they are attracting many butterflies and bee's.

Thanks

I merge several shots into one. I took these on July the first. It was the first time I ever tried capturing fireworks. It is harder than it looks.
