really like this wonder what it would look like with more space to the left of the truck to give a feeling of emptyness just a thought

I don't know how I missed this one it's great. Go to the other site and check out my Fabric of Life, you will be one of a few that will get.
Lets try this, this is how I think the lens things work. The 70-300 is like looking through a toilet paper roll you can do near and far and in between real well but the field of vision is narrower. The other lens, 28mm is like looking through a funnel, you can do near and far but now it's wide. Get it? You can take a macro with any of the lenses you just have to adjust how far away you are from the subject. W/70-300 you can get a perfect macro but you have to be 6 ft. away. With the 28mm you have to be right on top of the subject. You still with me? Don't give me too much credit I just figured this out and I might still be off a little. Keep you comments to yourself girl. lol

You have a good idea here but I would back up a little and give it some head and foot room. Tall and narrow are tough. Good start I can't wait to see how the re shoot goes.

well I am not bragging yet. I havent got anything to brag about with it.
someone told me they like the set lenses better Like a staight 400. I hope to learn what will do what I want when I take the camera classes this fall. I am not able to get close ups of my birds or wildlife yet with 300 and that is what I bought it for.

70-300 lens??? Now you're just bragging!
I have an OLD 70-200 manual focus that dates back to around the 17th century I think. So I may have to do some shopping.

I love this, just the right amount of drama, but a little bit held back for the imagination, nicely cropped!

I like it, I think I agree with the other as to blur the background a bit to make the pump the main focus.

I did one version that way. I did like it best but got this on accidentally first so left it.
I found another pump to play around with so maybe will do it the way you mentioned.

Your darkened edges frames it nicely. An effective antique image, Brandy. I may have added a hint of sepia or blur, to reduce the greenery behind, and emphasise the age of this piece from yesteryear.
