Dear Linda, thanks for your fine comment. Yes, indeed, the picture is mostly about hands. By the way, I have forgotten to tell about the technical details that I took the shot with ISO 400 and it became very noisy so I used NeatImage to remove the noise which also took away some of the sharpness. Best regards, György

I think I'd call this one "hands" because that's what stands out for me, and so you captured a nice mood with everyone either clapping or raising their hands in the air. Obviously they are happy about whatever is being said. I saw your comment regarding difficult lighting and I think you did well with the circumstances you had to shoot in, if conditions were different, I would agree that a bit more sharpness would be nice. Photography is what it is, and sometimes you get what you can, nice journalistic image!!

Thanks for your comment, Michalis. I took this pic among very difficult circumstances. I was sitting in the back of the room, in pitch dark, the stage being about 50-60 m afar, so I used handheld 12x superzoom. There was no chance to fine tune focusing, I used autofocus. I guess the sharpness is more or less even on the pic, it is the black color which gives the impression of greater sharpness. Best: György

Nice photo. The contrast in colours and light between the spectators and the people on stage is very nice. I would prefer the photo to be focused on the people on stage rather than to the back of the spectators. Maybe you had some other ideas in mind when you took the shot, that made you to act otherwise.
Good effort,
Michalis

I think this was probably shot, what? Midday while mostly overcast? The scene itself is really cool with the mist on the water, but this image has a few problems. First, this is a low quality jpeg here, I can see pixelation in the trees. Second, it's not very sharp. Thirdly, the tones are kinda flat and there isn't a lot of interest in the sky. I'd go back to this spot again and try to get this during a sunrise or sunset when you get a little more colour in the sky and some more varied tones in the scene. Finally, I'd suggest moving the horizon away from the center of the frame - try using the rule of thirds. Place the horizon either a third of the way down from the top if the water looks interesting or two thirds of the way down if the sky has more detail. Keep on shootin'!

Beautiful mood and great capture of haze on the water, Gyuri! Wonderful winter atmosphere, very serene - lovely reflections in the water and beautiful subtle winter colors. Excellent composition!

Szia Gyorgy.

Excellent natural portrait.
I think the lady would be better left clear and detailed, without brush strokes. - leaving the rocky background with brush effects. For me, this would make a fine frame.

I don't see where it's well done or well organized as francesco suggests. It's backlit & so there is very little detail in the trees on the opposite bank. No defined subject, but I can see why you made the picture. To your eyes it was a great scene, but it didn't transfer to the medium.

Nékem ez tetszik a legjobban e három képedből kedves Gyuri! Elbűvölő amint a jégpáncél kanyarog a folyó szélén s felette a fák íve követi azt, érdekes távlati hatást adva ezzel a képnek...; a ködről nem is beszélve!

Szervusz.

Gratulálok Gyurikám ehez a csodás sorozatodhoz!

Szia és kellemes napot!
