unusual vision of this blurry image, like from the horror movies during a thunder storm.. I can hear the sound effects of Psycho looking at this photo gramma.. I thinks its the effect of the lensbaby on this capture.
great in monochrome...
my warm regards,,

A fascinating play of all sorts of elements: shapes and lines, textures and tones, DOF. As an abstract, I wonder if it would work equally well turned through 90 degrees? The only reason I suggest that is because I find that in general landscape images look better on UF - if I had seen this printed the thought probably wouldn't even have occurred to me...

Wow...it's been a long time my friend! Thanks for all your comments and critiques Doyle, from the florals to stuffie slave trade to colorful fairies to Christmas morning and, last but not least...the dog/bear "surveillance" stills. Oh, and the AKC rat...LMAO!

Rain?...oh noooooo, what ever DID you do? BTW, your rain made it here this morning, thank you very much. :)

Take care...Robin

What is he up to? What an unusual BG! Love the idea of getting at eye level and in Gene's case this is far easier said than done. You get a real feel for what the World must seem like to him! Once again the heavy grain seems to add to the surreptitious filming of the security cameras (great idea, by the way).

Oh SNAP! Don't tell me he's pulling insulation outta' your walls!!!

Nice. I far prefer it without the selective desaturation though. The angle of the blossom also does not seem as wistful as before . . . (IMGO) . . . I greatly appreciate the idea and the technicals from the layout in this composition are superior I think . . .

Incidentally . . . we are expecting some rain today. Not sure what to do! LoL!

Wow . . . I do like the feeling of wistful longing I get from this . . . and I'm not particulary bothered by the verticle pane-line. The color reflection in the upper left seems to re-inforce the gazing out the window feeling. All in all . . . a great image. BUT . . . If I WERE to suggest a change . . . I think I'd consider losing the BG dark area that rises from behind the bloom like a tornado. While I assume it is a tree blurred by the DOF, I think it might be a slight distraction . . . but that's only IF I were to change something. You've chosen an OUTSTANDING color combination here. Impressive work yet again!

Thank you for the comment Amna. Unfortunately, limited space and lens choice prevented me from getting the whole flower, but you are correct...it would have helped!

Take care...Robin

the selective coloring work very well here.

P.S did you try including the whole flower? I think it will help to enhance the composition

Very attractive selective coloring, I read the comment on the post before this and I agree that this is a better composition. The other difference I notice is with the other photo, I know that it is winter outside, with this selective color and focus, the drama of the flower and the winter is not very evident.
Happy new year gramma
