HEY PETER...good to hear from you again. i do agree with the horizon leveling out...i took this though in a rush cause i saw the kid playin and knew that was a good shot especially with that bird flying...i got what u mean though...and yea i have a couple of color version of this but i wanted this one to have a mellow soft color so thats why i chose this one..thank you so much peter for stopping by..

hey doyle thanks so much for your detailed critique! i havent gotten one of those for a long time and i appreciate it alot...i took a look at your version and i want to thank you for taking the time time to do that. it showed you cared. while i do like the tight crop from the right as a different version, i still love the water on the bottom. i just love the way the waves look..thanks so much for stopping by and hope to see ya around again!

Hi Anthony!

This is a great shot. The colors used here . . . yellow/orange (ish) seem a bit too extreme for my eye . . . of course that's just a personal preference. You got pretty good focus considering you were shooting from the deck of a ship! I also very much like the POV here.

In my opinion . . . this shot could be made much more dynamic if you tighten the right side and lower crop . . . which would pull the lady liberty off the central area and add tension to the shot. I have attached an example with the saturation pulled down and a bolder crop applied for your consideration.

You have an interesting profile section.

Regards,
Doyle I <~~~~~

You have an eye for great shots, I would have played with the colours, levelled the horizon in the frame...all that sort of retentive stuff but it would have taken away from a great candid timeless image. Well done.

Peter.

Sensational composition that draws the eye into the image, I really like the feel of 'age' you have given it with bright sepia tones. Well seen, captured and presented.
