Fantastic contrasting colours with the blues and orange/yellows. A very pleasing image to look at Ian.

Love the foreground in this Ian. Beautiful leading lines to that fantastic light. (Let me know if you ever want an assistant. I’ll be cheap ;-))

Hi Ian. Thanks. It certainly is some location. More than 'good' even. Wasn't there a great sea and great light that evening? Enjoyed your company.
All my best
Jim

I really like this Ian. The subtle colouring of the foreground and background seems to emphasise the Buachaille in the background. Beautiful blue in the sky as well.

Great to be able to see the detail of the location which in this light shows up so well. Beautiful image Ian.

Managed to get to the Bow Fiddle at dawn last week end at a similar tide Ian. The tonal range you have captured here is outstanding. (Who needs HDR?) It's difficult to appreciate just how good this image is unless one has tried to capture it under similar conditions. Your head for heights also surpasses mine :)

Beautiful Ian. I particularly enjoy the mirroring of the cloud shapes and the shapes of the foreground snow. The reflection is the icing on the cake.

Really like your composition Ian and your slow exposure does wonders for the sky. Beautiful subtle colouring of the stones.

Dennis it’s great to get a detailed critique and I thank you for that. It is really appreciated and I take your point about the static piece of foam.
With thanks.

Ian this image has always been special to me ever since I saw it hung in your first exhibition at Elgin library. More than any other of your images this was the one that inspired me to get back into photography in general and landscape photography in particular so a big thank you is in order. I’ve often looked at it and wondered why this image above any other and I always come back to the texture of the rock slab combined with the quality of the light reflected on to it.
