Thanks. It was literally cool if not downright frozen that night. I spent about 15 minutes out in -23C weather without my cold temperature gear. It took a long time to warm up!

You are correct, this image was definitely NOT taken with the lens indicated. Somehow that got messed up while entering the information.

The photo was taken with the Canon 300 mm f4 L IS.

If I could capture the moon that close with my 17-55 mm lens we would all be having a very bad day!

Cheers, Bob

Wonderful shot Gaetan! Excellent composition, exposure & tonal range. It is a shame that we are unable to experience the full splendor of the full definition image. Must be something else!

Lovely shot Jim! Great composition and detail. The only thing that would make this better would be to tweak the tonal range ever so slightly so that a few parts of the image would be a nice bright white to give the image a bit of snap. Then, IMHO, it would be absolutely breathtaking! Keep up the great work.
Cheers, Bob

Lovely shot Lora! Great exposure. The tonal range and colour saturation are perfect. Great detail in the hair. Makes me want to go pet their faces and give then some apples.

John, this looks almost, but not quite, entirely unlike my shot of trees covered with frost! What a cool shot of a hot scene... Great tonal range and textures.

Great shot Ryan! I love the lighting. The pearls look almost surreal and the way the ear ring pops in contrast to the shadow behind the ear is tremendous. Not to mention the skin tones and detail in the hair. Keep up the good work!

Thanks John. Sharing the beauty of nature and the feelings associated with a scene is all joy to me and I am glad to have brought back some good memories for you. It means a lot to have this comment from you. I really enjoy your work and appreciate your high standards. Hope you don't get affected too badly from the current storms in your area.

This is a truly stunningly beautiful photograph! Drama, colour, the interplay of light and dark. Interesting clouds, a hint of sunlight and a brooding sea. Who could want for more? Well done!

Very nice Mark! Good composition and exposure. The high contrast adds to the "chess board" feel of the picture. Great drama of the interplay of a decisive move.

Wonderful photo! The exposure and composition are excellent! The only thing I might suggest for improvement would be to try to correct some of the parallax either with Photoshop or by rotating the photo toward the left slightly.

Well done!
