This is such a warm image Robert. Very nice colors and effective composition all the way down to the grain and the dust spots. Well done.

Hello Louise,
First off this image would benefit from a landscape format (instead of portrait). Then, I think you should look at it again and decide what you think it is that makes this landscape moody by cropping out all the unnecessary bits. As it is I find it rather busy and lacking in focus. Happy shooting and a happy new year.

where's this boardwalk leading to? what's that kid staring at? unusual place for a romantic date - interesting picture paul - and i think that the "dull" and "flat" lighting works well in this case

when i was in college we'd get drunk and eat those little guys right out of their aquariums - things have progressed considerably since then from the looks of it. good job phil - great shot.

actually guys, it's a little off center. that said, this is a truly great shot rog but this is not something you realize at first glance. like minoo says, the picture invites you in so to speak. great tones and lovely subdued colors.

i've tried this a million times and have come up zilch - how on earth do you people manage to fire the shutter at just the right time? so, lightning wise this is a cool shot - but, photography wise it aint - as a matter of fact it's pretty sloppy - the focus is off, there's a bunch of unintended light reflections and the horizon is tilted (not intentionally i presume). so next time you're out shooting lightnings get a tripod, set up your shot and wait for the discharge.

i really do like this one. i think the post job on the sky is a little exaggerated but the tones are great, the composition is good and that bird is a nice feature indeed.
