Good idea. I think all of us can get annoyed with this, but you made use of it by taking a picture. Maybe I can still get out there and try it myself, lol.

Interesting twist on something that's always photographed. I like it.

I can't think of anything that could be improved here. I know how difficult the exposure of the building lights can be, and it looks perfect. Good one!

Definitely not boring! The compostion is absolutely perfect. The slow shutter speed gives it a mystical appearance. 7+++

This was a 35 minute exposure at f2.8. But if you want to take a shot like this, then be very careful with what aperture you use. The moon cannot be out and the sky must be very dark.

Where was that goodyear blimp picture taken? I live in akron, ohio (the home of the goodyear blimp). I don't think there's very many goodyear blimps.

Nice work. You used just the right shutter speed to not get too much fireworks and not too little.

Hello Ray. As for my C-60, I like it. You can probably find it somewhere for $249. I paid $300 for it when I bought it 6 months ago. For the price, you get a great camera. It's 6.1mp's and it also has the manual modes on it. I like it because of the manual mode. It's not as versatale as an slr camera. The shutter speed can be set anywhere from 8 to 1/1000th of a second and the aperture can be set anywhere from f2.8 to f8. It has a durable stainless steel body. It also allows you to do many things with the pictures such as b&w, adjusting the white balance, macro mode, etc.

Hey Jim. Thanks for the comment. I used a graduated tobacco filter for this one. If you look in the background you can see Miami. It was raining in Miami just as we left and the sky was dramatic anyways. Sorry about the bad scanning quality.

This looks familiar. I was just on a cruise last week and this looks like the ship. I was on the Caribbean Princess.

Hmm, I didn't know you could see sea turtles from there. This was actually the first time I saw the ocean. I live in Ohio, so Myrtle Beach is about a 12 hour drive. It was wild down there because I just happened to be there during spring break, but I'm sure it's not like that all the time. I'll probably go there again sometime.

I think this is the Springmaid Pier. I'm not sure, but it's the one that's free to go on. The other one is longer and you have to pay $1 to go on.

Thanks for the comment, I actually used a digital camera for this. This shot was taken with night mode and the previous shot was taken with P-mode. I usually shoot with film, but this was one of the only ones I got without window glare. I wish I could more acurately portray what it was like up there, I've seen so many cityscapes like this, but actually being there brought a whole new perspective to see all the lights move and twinkle, it was the most amazing thing I've ever seen. If you ever go there, then go there at night or during sunset.

The signs add to the photo. I took a picture like this in Chicago last week. There's buildings on all sides including the sears tower and the moon in the middle, which I put there with a double exposure. This one might look better at night.

Last week when I was in Chicago, I was in the 16th floor of a 17 floor hotel becuse I asked for a high up floor. The John Hancock Center was right outside my window across the street. It was so high that I couldn't see the top of it from out my window. I could watch what everyone was doing on each floor. It was like a movie.

Great timing for this one. You can probably edit the glare off of the window in photoshop. It would be worth it with this photo. I was just in Chicago the other day taking pictures of buildings. In my opinion these are not taller than the sears tower. They put a pole on top of each one and call them taller. Anyways, great shot.

Looks familiar, I saw this the other day! I went to Chicago for the first time. They were repairing that metal bubble thing, so I didn't take any pictures of it. I just read some of the comments and I walked around the city at night for 12 hours in 5 degree temperatures. I don't know how. It is by far the best place I've photographed, but that cold air coming off of the lake shortened the time I spent taking pictures. I wish I lived there. I'll be posting some pictures soon. Anyways, great picture.
