Avi. some years ago I made a photograph of these falls in color, then as now I invisioned it as a B&W photograph to my eye. I normally preview my scenes and decide which film to load depending on what I see and feel. I wanted the light filtering through the tree's to add to the rich tones I was hoping for. Once the film is loaded, it is a matter of waiting in hopes the light will do what I invisioned... Sometimes it works as planned and sometimes it does not. After that it is up to the viewer... Best wishes and thank you for your comments......Mark

Corrie... Don't ever doubt yourself in what you do be confident in yourself and your goals.. Always judge your work against only your work, don't compare your work to anyone elses. Learn the basics and practice those until its more than habit its 2nd nature. I have made photographs for many years I read and practice the basics still today everyday . When I do a photo shoot I treat it as the big game in preperation and once it starts I let my creative side do the rest.Of course somedays are more creative than others!! The rest will come as you find yourself and build your own style and techiques . I did in fact mean you have a natural gift as you show in each Photograph the rest will come with practice and time. If one wants something that bad be "Confident" it will come to you!!! Good luck and best wishes!!!

I have a thing for trains and tracks so this one caught my eye even though you have a real nice portfolio. The wide angle focusing down does the trick on this one using heavy forground turns a everyday shot into something that works and works well... well done...Best wishes Mark

Thanks for taking the time to comment.. much appreciated, For me a wood camera just feels good to shoot.Staying in touch with the history of photography before the digital age of today. Nothing like setting up a wood box making photographs the way our Fathers did. I admire such wonderful craftsmanship from these old classics and the Craftsmen that built them. Thanks again!!!!

Over the years I have gone out of the way to keep power lines out of my frame. You have done just the opposite. I think with the sky and arrangement of the towers makes an interesting and well thought out photograph. You may try a heavy crop off the right side. This would in my mind add to the composition giving a bit more balanced presentation. Just a thought... regards Mark
