I think the skin tones and the lighting are remarkable, but the expression on your face is what really makes this photo work. I agree with the other comments that the camera is a bit distracting. I think it would probably work better if your face and the camera were moved more to the right. I like this very much.
Best Regards,
James

I like this. The composition is very good. I especially like the way the colors blend together to make the background look almost as though it was painted on. Very simple, but very will done.

James

This is a very impressive close up of nature. Nice detail and the compostion is well balanced. The background and the lighting give it kind of an ethereal quality. The seeds seem to be getting ready to fly away. Nice work Janet.

Best Regards,
Jim

I like the way the "A" shape in the center of this abstract forces the eye to explore the rest of the photo. It also creates a central focal point to help give some order to the random angles of the three exposures. Very creative work.
Best Regards,
Jim

Thanks for your comment Steve. I like to experiment with different things to see what works best. This photo was taken some time ago. If I were to shoot it today I would probably compose it a little differently. Maybe showing more of the stem.

Best Regards,
Jim

I like this style. It gives the feel of black and white with just enough color to warm it up a bit. The detail in the girls face and hair is very good. The lighting and shadows in this photo as well as the worried look on the young lady's face create a convincing impression of a frightened child who finds herself lost and alone in a bad part of town. Very good work. Good luck to you Oleg.
Best Regards.

The dark shadows in the background create a very dramatic mood here. Although I think this would work well in black and white, I feel the subtle use of color adds an intimacy that would be lost with simple black and white especially in the face, and also adds to the dramatic effect of the photo. Finally, the girls expression along with the strands of hair across her face give a candid feel to this portrait. Excellent work.
Best Regards, Jim

Hello Maja,
The soft focus and grainy look of this photo works very well to create a moody dreamlike portrait. I especially like the light on the face and arm, and the dark body against a bright background. Very well done.
Best Regards, Jim

I like the translucent quality of the stem and leaves against the dark background. Perfect lighting and crop combined with great composition.
