Lovely burnished golden weather-vane Richard, and that hawk adds to the picture of course (although I'd have liked it with or without). I'm assuming the location isn't PA! I must say, I loved my visit to Lancaster County a few years ago!

Anthony

Ah yes Don - Disney obviously saw the Romantic feelings this castle evokes!

Thank you for your interesting and witty comments!

Thank you Stan, in fact, I used the Holga thingy from Silver Efex, but I didn't use the film grain option. I'll give it a go!

Actually Randy I'm pretty good at astronomy and have been a fan ever since I glimpsed Saturn's rings through a cheap 70mm refractor. Now - I have an 8" SC and a 5" Mak, both very under-used currently. I really want to start taking astro photos but those CCD's are pretty costly. I haven't looked in any depth into using my dSLR.

As to the Moon, yah - to my shame I thought it was a bloomed planet haha!

Anthony

This IS rather fabulous though Randy - simple, thus strong and memorable; a potent image indeed. You might want to add this to the Silhouettes Project. Like Brigitte, I made it a fave too.

Technical point: on my monitor at least there is some fringing or whatever it's called at the boundary of the dark elements and that gorgeous sky. It that a jpeg compression artifact? I think this image would be dead perfect if this could be got rid of.

Regards,
Anthony

I do not know Kris. You caught this moment; this human being. You chose the "emotion" category here and I am curious about that. What is your interpretation? You have filled the About with "...". may I ask why?

Yours ever,

Ant

I looked, and it was another quite telling study you excel at Krish. You placed it in the "Emotion" category, and one can certainly see why, or can we? Perhaps not.

It's a pleasing image indeed. I like it a lot. The background has quite obviously been added, which is perfectly great and fine, as long as it's stated. It barely needs to be stated here though.

Don, I do not know who he was when I shot this. I recall the composition as it looked in my viewfinder. I *think* he was a Vatican person of some kind because that section of St Peter's was cordoned off.

Best wishes,

Anthony

This is brilliant work Ken (as if I need to say so). I am happy that it was recognised here. If I may say so, your entire portfolio is quite wonderful and inspiring.

A striking photograph, both technically and in emotional impact. Congratulations Atish! A clear winner you have here.

I'd love to learn more about your subjects in an "About".

Warmest regards, and thank you for bringing this image to UF.

Thank you Randy! I love your wit. Yes, you are a master of misty landscapes and I find your style compelling, persuasive and completely appealing. By contrast, I'm a Jack of all Trades...
