Great job on the panning. I find that, although this appears simple, it doesnt work nearly as well as often as Id like!

Keep up the great work!

in my opinion, the contrast in terms of light is negligible or not important. however, there is an emotional contrast of the soft natural background and his rock hard eyes and stand. and i think this opposition weakens the photo.

I took the picture 2 years ago...check my portfolio. This picture is old news. I've gotten 10xs better since I took this.

Hi Mike, This is really just a monochrome shot of an old boot on the window ledge of a shed. The composition leaves a lot to be desired, remember the "rule of thirds".

This haphazard arrangement does nothing. The picture appears to be leaning to the left and could benefit from some work in Photoshop, the window frame elements ought to be vertical. The bits of twig outside the window are generally distracting and interfere with the subject - the boot.

You should really have another go at this shot, remove that diagonal twig and give the picture a rotational twitch to the right (clockwise)ensuring that your verticals are vertical and resubmit for comment.

Nice shot! I like the wide-angle approach. I also like how the flowers in the background all seem to be bowing(?) down to the main subject. Great colors, nice work!

Love photograph, the way you've captured the water is talentful, and the colour is just great, makes one feel like you could almost reach out and touch the water. Great job, well done!

Ah, the lovely cyclamen nicely interpreted. The colors and form one can see in a pot of cyclament are truly remarkable. You found an interesting angle that captures the shape, form, and the color of the flower rather nicely.

very nicely composed and lit. the exposure is perfect and the slightly soft middle set against the sharp edges of the petals brings out the delicate nature of this flower.
cheers
