You've got a few cracking sunsets here. Like the framing here, with the bands of light similar to a rainbow emmiting from the centre. Cool Graham

Great picture of the father and new baby, you have captured that emotional moment, and this is a picture they can cherish forever. Beautiful composition and the soft lighting is perfect. Alison

I love this shot! The trees make for a fantastic frame for the sky. Definitely not the coloring I expected with the title - but it really does seem like the ocean. Good call on the Lion King - it does look nearly too perfect.

I agree that critiquing is for everyone. I had someone negatively critique one of my fav peices and I reacted in the same way as Carol. whenever i crituqe something critically i try to include some positive aspects of their shots as well. I am no pro and i critique lots of work on here, so keep giving advice. Don't let one comment stop you. Tim (-:

cute dog, i love labs, great surface to take the shot on as well because the dog fits in well with the light color wood floors. Thats what i always find difficult about taking pics of my dogs is catching them in the right setting and lighting, they never sit still (-: also thanks for all the nice comments you left on my stuff. Yes Carol and she has every right to. I read her coment on your photo. It was in no way direspectful or bashing your photo. She simply said it would look nicer with less white. Also-- Critiquing is simply constructive critism or an opinion. You do NOT need to be a pro to do this. Learn to take the critiques in the best way.

Critiquing isn't only for pros. A lot of people on here aren't professional photographers and I bet THEY rate YOUR photos. I was giving you feedback you want. Not everyone is going to like everything. Opinions vary. Too bad you're not good at taking critism. It wasn't really critism either. I told you what I liked, and what I didn't.

What does that mean? I'm "rating your stuff" ? Just because I don't take many pictures of people and I'm fifteen doesn't mean I can't tell you what I think. You're asking for ratings, but does it matter who they are from?!? Everyone has different opinions, and creative critism is better feedback than "Nice Photo".
Thanks, Makenzie Clark

tip:
Don't rate others in a negative way without something to back it up with... Critiquing is for Pro's...
Good luck,
