I like this photo a lot, Troy. I don't think I'd change a thing. One thing I especially like is that the passerby is silhouetted. For me it's a nice metaphor for all of the people who pass by the needy without bothering even to give a nod of recognition. The palette is great too. Well done!! Steve

i noticed the nice "starlights" immediately. very sharp image! i think this view MUCH better at night than during the day...wonderful stark white against the black/blue makes for a striking image.

Sad Image. Some died for a true cause and some just pawns in a bigger game. They're just all statistics now. What is and what should never be. Check out my Bio page when you have time (the picture's old and not the point, the words are what's important) Good job here, good statement. Mark

I love the lighting! I would crop off about an inch on the right side of the photo to give more of a sense of mystery as to where the light is coming from. Great job!

Very nice photo. I like how you got the poster and the man who's holding it in the photo and both in focus. It looks great, I love how you've captured that emotion in the man's face as well! Well done, this is an awesome journalism shot! ~Rachel~

Hey Sam, thanks for the comment. It is a rather trite shot, but a friend of mine asked me to take it. As for the lights, they're all part of the original shot and not PS'ed. Thanks again. Cheers, Troy

I've seem similar shots of this many times before, but you have taken a really nice shot this time around. The catch lights (stars)did you edit them in PS or was that your original shot? SAM

Great idea to use the fast shutter speed, capturing a single moment in an exciting game of soccer. Although it is not my favourite sport to watch, you have captured the essence and elegence of the game. A slight criticism would be that tiny patch of red on the bottom-left, which I think takes away from the soccerball - the primary focus of the shot (excellent composition by the way). Well done!
Michael
