Wow..is this B&W straight out of the camera, or adjusted w/ aid of software? Fantastic tonality, nice composition.

Nice technique..especially powerful in IR. Love the grain...I think it just adds to an already good image, making it 'art'.

Neal, No, I live in Waconia...Carver County. I try to get up to the North Shore 1-2x a year, though, as I find it incredibly inspiring and rejuvenating.

Bogdan, you've got a winner here. Really like the contrast in colors between the sand and ocean, and the cloud beams anchor the whole shot.

Tim, I like images like this, too. Interesting composition of a sometimes difficult subject, trees. You've managed to keep this clean, colors vivid, and found a complementary background. Kudos!

Stephen, although I am enjoying the uniqueness of this bloom, and its vivid colors, the DOF is too shallow, and the composition could have been perhaps a bit improved by using a flash to overcome the daylight (light green background) and isolate one or two of these incredible blooms.

Geoff, Yes, the image was scanned using a Polaroid Sprintscan 35+ 2700dpi film scanner. It's definitely not state of the art, but as they say, it gets the job done. (And has a simple, intuitive software interface which works without any issues, except maybe no ICE^3..but I use a manual ionized dust brush before scanning w/ no issues.)
