GREAT photo. Adventure, with the kayaking jacks and sunny days.
I've always been amazed at how those little Olympus cameras go places you wouldn't take anything else. So, how were you blessed with a third hand to hold on to everything?

Not just a hawk, Greg. An accipter, either a Cooper's hawk or a sharp shinned hawk -- maybe one of our experts will tell us which. I'll guess a Cooper's because of apparent size, but the squared tail has me a little confused. These hunt birds, and were actively exterminated by farmers a century ago to protect their chicken flocks.
I really like the backlighting, the soft light on his face, and the outstanding background.

Great title, Todd. As I'm sure you know, this is a young red tail. Would this be considered the Harlan variant? Or, do I have my labels mixed up....

I believe this building is on native reserve land, just south of Canmore. Although you don't appreciate it in this photo, the tremendous backdrop is witness to the abject poverty of clashing cultures. I don't really like the building either. But a foreground element offers context that some of my other photos from the day were lacking.

Hi, Kerry. I live in Lethbridge, just south of you. But I often find myself at your new arena, to watch my youngest son play hockey. In the city of Lethbridge, the mule:white-tail ratio is about 5:1.
You've got a diverse wildlife portfolio -- great work.

Oh, thankyou, Dave. It has been a surprise to me that I don't use my long glass very often. Mainly it's the inconvenience of dragging big lenses around. This shot was with a medium telephoto at about 50 mm, on the golf course where the marmots are tame. The worst of it was having to lie in marmot dung to get the shot with distant sky. The golfing was forgettable, but I got one shot worth remembering.

Gutsy, edgy, creative image, Erland. My only question is regarding the yellow monotones. This image seems to best fit the B&W genre, from my perspective. Or is your thought to use a sepia tone for an older feel?

Lots of views in just a few minutes, somehow eyecatching on the thumbnail. It took me a while to understand the desaturation on a gradient thing, but I still don't understand the why part of it. Cadaveric skin tones below, saturation above. She plays with ear protection, good for her.
Not sure it is very flattering for the subject -- I guess I have to agree with Mervo.

Hi, Theron. I didn't cruize by here until today, then I found your question.
Look at the blue sky, just to the left of the building at left. See the two dark spots? They are about 2 mm in diameter on my moniter. Then look at the blue sky elsewhere. There are about 10 dust spots in the small patch of blue sky, which is just a small area of your sensor. I suspect there are lots of other areas, but you don't see them very well because they are lost in the detail of the falls. If you then look at the waterfalls you can see about a dozen other dust spots.
Next, tomorrow when you have your camera outside in bright daylight, point your camera at a patch of bland sky, away from the sun. close down your aperture to f22, and expose so that your about one stop underexposed. Those settings will increase your chance of seeing dust spots. Take your card into the house, load it onto the computer, and be amazed at how much dust there is.
The problem with this is the same problem that you get if you enjoy expensive wine. Once you recognize the difference, you always want the better product. Once you recognize these dust bunnies, you will find them very annoying.
Fortunately they are easy to remove, and if nothing else you can clone them out in photoshop. If you want advice on how to clean your sensor, you could email me at dr-holland@shaw.ca. I use a "visible dust" brush, but unfortunately they are expensive. You could search for other options on photo.net. Just remember that you don't want to be putting any liquid or any compressed gas near your sensor. If it's not too bad you could try a HAND blower bulb, but be careful.
Cheers!
