Many thanks Saad for your recent comments on my photos. There are alot of covered bridges in New England, but also we have them in other states too. I believe their original purpose was to protect horses from severe weather as winter winds and sleet always seem worse over water. The longest wooden covered bridge in the US is the Cornish-Windsor bridge in New Hampshire, at nearly 450 feet long. I've seen it and it's beautiful!

Many thanks Michael...I don't have alot of time to devote to photo sites, 1 or 2 at best is all I can handle. It would also have to be a site that doesn't require Facebook or other social networking sites as I don't do them although I hear one called Freedomtorch.com is going to be the answer to Facebook soon...we'll see :)

This is really unique, the tree silhouette really anchors the whole image. And the title is intriguing too...short life to be sure, we're only here for a short dance in the sun. You're getting pretty tricky there Michael...:)
