Dear Rich,
Thanks for your comment.
Yes, I really like the 40D. It gives me more ISO options, 6.5 fps and the Auto Focus is terrific.
For me 40D was a no-brainer upgrade. The only thing I regret was not to bought it sooner. 50D could be another good option, but I don't know much about it. I personally will stay away from the 1D Mark generation, they are to expensive for me. I rather invest in lenses.
But going back to the 40D, you can't go wrong with that camera.
Long live to Canon Engineers.

Take care my friend and Merry Christmas to you and your family.

Hi Marcus,
I feel a bit jealous because this person sent the same message to every UF member.
She sounds like a very friendly person, LOL.

Take care buddy.

Hola Amiga,

Thank you Brigitte,
Yes, this shot was taken last year in Rancho San Antonio.
This is a protected area in Cupertino.
Lots of visitors come to this park every day so wildlife gets use to it and they become very tame.
They are relatively easy to find.
If you come around 7AM and stay there for a couple of hours, you will have good chances to see them.
Best spot is between the tennis course and the park rangers station.

Best.

Thanks Brigitte,
I always appreciate your comments.
For birds in flight I use AV, F stop between 5 and 7.1, central focusing point, al servo mode, ISO between 250 and 400 and auto focus.
While tracking your subject (on a clean background)if your sensor loses "the target" and begins to search by it self, release the shutter buttom and depress it again to re-acquire focus.
Good luck my friend.

Thank you Stan, I always appreciate your comments.
For all my pics I use the EF 400mm f/4 DO IS USM is 26% shorter and 36% lighter than a conventional lens with the same focal length and aperture specifications.
If you want to know more about this lens, please visit:

Dear Nilajan,
Thanks for your comment.
This is cropped only 5%.
Composition wise, could have been a bit better, but I used the 1.4 TC.

Dear Larysa,
Thanks for your comment.
The shutter speed was 1/1600 sec, ISO-400, Exposure compensation 0 step, Focal legth: 560 mm and the program mode was aperture priority.
I stay at the pond for about 2 hours and got some other interesting pics.

Take care.
