WOW...my first wife was born here in Vulcan.....maybe this was her place....lol. I have to say this is one of your best shots! The mood is fantastic!! I have a girlfriend out in your neck of the woods so i am looking forward to getting some of these great sky shots myself this summer-fall.
Nice to hear from you again. Hope you get some time to hike around even if it is only for a day or two.

Excellent colour. The long green grass highlights the abandoned house. The tones in the sky make it feel very sad, with the darker markings on all the corners of the house, I see them as where children used to run around playing games and grabing the corners . The foreground that brings me into the scene and the lone tree set this photo off. "to me"

I think the combination of the lovely warm light and his expression really make the picture. The background is pleasingly blurred - I noticed you used a really long lens - I'm surprised he could see you from that distance!
