I really like what you were going for here. I think the top portion is too much and takes away from the image. I cropped it to show you how much better this could be. I took out the border because i don't know how to put it back where I cropped it. You may also want to try this with no flash. I don't know if a tripod would be prohibited but the flash puts harsh lighting on the balls.

this is gorgeous. may i suggest that you crop it as square as possible for a better composition? i think it would look even better.

wow, this is amazing. it's hard to shoot things that are so skittish but you managed to do so and it's very sharp!

i like the composition and textures. the structure is obviously old and the tone goes well with that.

more dof would have made this better but the composition is very good and the lighting was good too. this shows creativity. that's important for quality photos.

the light from the side can make very good portrait lighting.

Wanderson
Having good lighting is everything with photography. You can get nice photos with light from a window or roof window. You can buy a stand for your flash so it is not on the camera. you better results that way.

good luck!

you WANT reflection in your eyes. that's a good thing. i can't tell that your lips are dry. i didn't take a photography class when i had the chance. my work makes it hard to commit to anything scheduled. I do belong to a photography club that meets twice a month. It's always on my day off. I've learned a lot there. Keep shooting. You will improve as you do more. Keep posting. Some people have very helpful things to say to help you.

cool pic! for a better composition, i would have put him in the third so he looks like he somewhere to go.
As I look out at gray skies and snow, I wish so much that I could be THERE.

please tell me that's bronze! Great image! It looks like a corpse buried in the snow. Your exposure is perfect. Snow deceives the camera.
