This was the third night looking for it Tim,luckily I did finally get a break in the clouds. They came over again soon after this shot was taken. A friend drove a few hundred km west and got some spectacular shots with the tail spread across the sky, but then he's a mad keen astrophotographer and could track it for several minute exposures.

Thanks Shirley - his name is Steve after Steve Irwin and is my daughter's pet that she got just after he died. And in case anyone comments, yes, she has got a licence to keep him.

Thanks Greg, I thought of cropping some more, and also thought of having his head coming out of a frame but ... well another day perhaps.

Close Alice, its from an old typewriter as you guessed, but its of the bits holding the letters that stike the page.

Hey there, is that the rods that hold the keys of an old mechanical typewriter?

Good abstract, could almost be a monument with nothing to scale it against!

Cheers,
Alice.

Nice. I love the sharpness and the short DOF. You might try cropping a little off the bottom, but that's nit-picking. It's a great shot.:)
