I see you know your poetry Tony! Thanks for your comment and humour. Actually, I made it all up as a joke on my brother
As to direction, I think I lack any in particular. As you noted, I love architecture and should probably eschew zoom lenses completely when documenting buildings. You might like this shot better: http://www.usefilm.com/Image.asp?ID=1529288

Great composition Vijay! I love this sort of work very much. You example here a lesson in framing, as well as focus, which I think is superb.
Congratulations.

I suppose what I meant was my overall impression of this image was not one of technical failure at all; the blown-out highlights were not something that took my notice, and I think what sandip is communicating here over-rides technical issues.
Just my take Saad. I agree that you are entitled to point out technical "defects" of course; here they are subtle and, to me, unobjectionable.
Best regards,
Anthony

If I may say so, gratuitous, self-conscious, crude, and a disservice to all gay people who are regularly misrepresented in this indulgent way. By no means is this representative of anything other than crassness and a perverse obsession with one's sexuality.
Sorry.

In my monitor, at least, I see few blown bits that might even remotely detract from the overall beauty of this wonderful study. It would be churlish even to nitpick minor details when looking at this work in its very clear and exemplary nature.
Congratulations sandip.

What amazes me Kris is the lack of comments and interest in works (such as yours here) which in my opinion are head and shoulders lofty. Ah well :(

One might think so - I'd like to think it was the Pantheon alone, and he had muted his music. Maybe a combination of both? At any rate, his expression was noticeable :)

The topping in this case is confectioner's sugar and whipped Philadelphia cream cheese combined. Absolutely perfect for those unimpressed by the health police and their depressing and evil works...

Thanks B - it's just I can't really get over visiting the Pantheon, and I want to record my feelings about it from various angles. Just think: it was built in the 2nd century AD, and is a work of sheer genius, for its art and technology.

I am going to annoy you Brigitte possibly, BUT, I am wondering whether you are leaving RAW images untouched in terms of post-processing? I hesitate to observe that your RAW images, which come straight off your cam's sensor, are deliberately flat and are intended to be so by design.
This image is undoubtedly flat, dull and unsaturated. It bears all the hallmarks of an un-processed RAW file.

What's astonishing about this image, the sheer quality of it, is the fact you grabbed it from HD video. It seems were are moving fast towards another dimension of how images are taken and presented. The possibilities are amazing!

I am with you all the way in this Brigitte. I was slightly poking fun at the idea of "abstracts". Personally, I love "pop" and stuff like that. That's just me.
I shall continue to do so. And never forget that YOU saw the image, opened your shutter :)
