Thanks! :) I love my cats too, unfortunately they live 2,000 miles away from me. :(

Most of my recent shots were taken in Gatineau Park and in and around Ottawa. (Andrew Haydon Park, Parliament) The ones from the summer were taken in Tybee Island and Savannah, Georgia.

Usually this place was packed but I took this in an adfternoon while I was driving by and in the middle of a snowstorm, so most of the parking lot is covered with snow. In the morning it's crazy. The parking lot and drive-thru are packed and there is a long lineup of cars waiting to turn in.

School is going pretty well. It sure keeps me busy! My spring break starts on Friday which I am very excited about. I'm spending the weekend with my best friend, who I haven't seen since August, for her bierthday and then heading home to spend some time with family/friends. The good news is I'm getting a Nikon D70s next week and I am SO EXCITED! I can't wait to start taking pictures again. (I left my Fuji with my step dad, didn't want it anymore)

Michele! I've missed your photos. I think you've greatly improved. I like your composition of the shot, and yes, it's a miracle this place is still (semi) intact.

Hey Arthur, I really like this photo. Ottawa has been so cold and snowy, it's nice to know there is still some life during winter. I wasn't prepared for the -34 temperatures when I moved here!

By the way, I grew up calling them "Elephant Ears" not Beavertails. :P

You can also get beavertails at Canada's Wonderland. I used to live in London ON and they were at the Western Fair. I associate them with summer but everyone here in Ottawa associates them with winter! Anyway, I really like this shot. I couldn't believe the number of people lined up today for food.

ah yes, I am checking them out right now. Unfortunately I wasn't able to make it to winterlude because I was sick! There's always next year... but I am definitely going skating again.

Hey,
I'm doing well. Busy, busy, busy as usual. :)

I haven't taken any photos in a while... in fact I've left my camera for my step dad to sell in a couple months. I wasn't using it much and frankly didn't care for the camera anymore. Something went funky with it.

I am probably going to buy a Nikon D50 in the summer. I can't wait for that.

Hey, thanks for the comment. Nothing's wrong with me , I've simply been caught up with college. I'm going to school to become a writer so as you can imagine the workload is quite heavy.

Happy New Years to you too!

Thanks for the suggestions. I like your crop! I took a number of these shots and found it difficult to pick which ones to upload. (my internet kept saying CONNECTION FAILED whenever I'd go to any website, grr) I shall take a look at these again.

Fall is at its peak right now. I was lucky to be able to see this park, it's about a 25 min drive away and can't be accessed by public transport.

I live close to the Ottawa airport and there are always planes flying right above res. I can usually get a good pic if I have my camera handy. They make tons of noise though.
