Great shot, David, congratulations on the donor of the day award. This has the perfect composition, colors, subject matter, etc. Nicely done, wish I had some kind of water, port, harbor, etc, etc to shoot.

Well, so you got a new camera, huh? Congratulations! I see a better quality photo already. And you are shooting in RAW? Wow! Love this shot. I was seeing some thumbs in your portfolio, too, that showed a wide angle lens use... I reckon that is the 17mm setting... so glad you upgraded!!

wow, what a cool action shot, the dust and grass flying, very cool.

Heya Brigitte... yup, been a bit aloof lately, just swamped with work and photography, actually.... seems never ending. then throw in a kitchen remodel this summer, followed by pneumonia... and hey. But instead of getting ready for the tile going in tomorrow, thought I would goof off instead...

Catch you later....

Hiya, Debjit... thanks for the warm welcome back... I have been mostly traveling for the past 6 months and focusing on taking photographs... so hopefully I can be around a bit more.

As you know, I always love your Mono shots... this being no exception... have to be in LA in a week or so and really have thought about heading north to Mono and Yosemite again as a photo trip.... and you are not doing your part in discouraging me... :)

Hey Hey Hey, girl... from what I have seen so far... looks like you are really paying attention to your work!! wooohooo....

Now we'll get you going on your post-processing... a little burning here and there to bring out the relief of these rocks.... and add a bit of contrast and you'll be a force to reckon with....

Thanks, Joggie... but no rude awakening... whoever the guy is, he lives like this, in a falling down adobe barn in my town.... I suppose he gets a bit more protection from the elements than if he were living under a bridge... but not that much more, considering the place barely has a roof left....

Then again, he's got a nightstand... which is more than I can say for myself. LOL

I think this is a very excellent concept, I like it very much. I don't know that I like the added numerals, though. I think they take away from the mood and sense. I think merely the man in thought standing isolated would be a very strong photograph. Regardless, strong theme!
