excellent capture! you did a great job of blurring the background yet the bike is sharp as can be!

like it? Love it!! This just pops off the screen. I was browsing pics taken with this lens. I just got the Image Stabilizer version of this lens in the mail today.

Congratulations on a wonderful achievement!

thank you. merry christmas to you too! i am SO thrilled with my camera. this was at 1600 ISO and the noise is virtually non-existent.

This is a great idea. Very creative. I am not sure why you chose to have it with so little contrast. I tinkered with it. I hope you don't mind. I used the unsharp mask, contrast adjustment and of course a crop. What do you think?

a great subject. i hope you took others zooming in for a more abstract look. so many colors and textures here. closer would have been exciting.

the reason why people have tattoos there so often is because it doesn't hurt that much there. they hurt other places. the ones on my legs hurt a lot.

Thanks for the compliment!

This is very crisp and the moment is great. To improve the composition, I cropped a little off the right so the ape is not so centered. I am hoping that you turned the camera vertical at some point and got more of the body. A close vertical portrait would be cool too.

I did nothing to tint the image. it's how it was. thanks for the compliment. the chorus was dimmed out for the solo.

i shot over 425 pics, used the IS for most of them on one battery. I don't buy aftermarket batteries and the 30D is very energy efficient. it's amazing how good it is.

wow! what an image! i probably don't want to be down wind of him. he doesn't look clean. it's an eye opener of the poverty that is strong in India. the later afternoon lighting made this even better.

I am totally in awe of my camera. I never expected the 1600 to work so well! A friend was shooting with a Nikon the same night and showed me how much noise his camera has at that speed. He thinks it needs repair. I'll stick with Canon.

Thanks for the compliment.

Ava is extremely talented.

I emailed this to the Public Relations Chairman for the chorus and it was used in a mass email that went out to all the supporters and regular attendees. One of the photographers was jealous that my very first photo shown was already published! hehehe. He said that he has waited years for them to use his stuff.
