Great manipulation for a very strong emotional effect. Excellent visual impact!

The famous Patagonian winds... I remember them from my childhood, when I used to feel their effect (weakened but still very noticeable in its influence over weather and temperatures) all the way up in South East Brasil.

I like the tight crop here and the way the tree snakes around the frame.

Yes, Gustavo. I like this one a lot. Great pose and good capture.

The only thing I can see which could be improved is the focus. I think it should fall over the face (and especially eyes) of the decoration, but it's on the top of the head.

We're always measuring ourselves, even it it's not with numbers. Great way to illustrate your thoughts. The extreme nature of the macro serves the story telling very well.

Thank you, Sally. Yes, this is where I went on my two-week holiday: Siliguri in West Bengal.

Terrific pic, with lovely textures and great toning.

Excellent message and sentiment.

Nice macro shot. I like the colours and the presence of the ant (really nice touch!).

Good colours, but a slight boost to contrast would really enhance them.

Great colours for a different night-time shot. I like how you have captured the aspects of the artificial light.

Keith, I love the way you have captured the colours of the graffiti. They really stand out!

Also excellent placement for the door handle.

As the great KC himself says, and I cannot disagree with him: perfect...

Very dramatic and quite eerie, almost creepy, Katrin.

Her skin tone is very light and this adds a very macabre aspect to the image. Very well seen and captured by the photographer.

Did you mean to focus on the sand rather than on her face?

Thanks, Gerhard. It means a lot coming from you. I had a few different shots uploaded, some with borders, some without. It was a great learning process or which works better with what.

Nice... I really like the bold placement of the model within the wider context of the wall and objects. I am not sure how they relate to him (is that his work of art or somehow the environment of his work?) but they most clearly *do* relate to him, being above his head and totally dominant.

The man to press the shutter may have been your friend, but I detect a lot of your personal style in the photograph. It has echoes of your placement of images within the frame.

Was it all his composition?

Very nice work, Mohammad.

Nice record shot of this castle. I like the simple tight crop and good colours. The sky and light in general were very nice for the scene.

The one possible improvement I can think of is to "correct" the verticals in Photoshop, so they are not leaning. I know not everyone is for that kind of correction, though...

Powerful silhouette image, Gayle. I like the contrast of tones in the sky, with the menacing clouds.

Interesting choice to make the silhouette blurred. An attempt to blur de national identity of the fallen soldier, perhaps?

I like the composition, especially the placement of the silhouette, far to the right, with no room to go, and chased by the stormy sky.

Yes, I'm back after holidays, but still too busy with getting back to normality to post... yet.

A good idea for a series. I'm looking forward to more of it, Stephanie.

Interesting choice of presentation. Why did you prefer this to a 90 degree rotation counter-clockwise? (Or even 180 degrees, really...)

Very cool picture with excellent technique, Jason. I like those light trails and the yellow "ghost", and the juxtaposition of those images with the musician's head and hand.

It all translates very well the atmosphere of the occasion.

Mary,

Thanks for the detailed comment.

I feel that the crop required to remove the lower left corner would disturb the composition too much.

Photo taken with a camera phone of other people using a camera phone to take a photo of themselves. The title just seemed obvious...

Tom,

You got the concept. Maglite flashlight. I blurred the background a bit as the wardrobe had a distracting pattern.

I realise this one is quite experimental, not everyone is going to like it. I appreciate your honesty.
