Thankyou, guys. This was a bit of a fluke but I am happy with it. You wouldn't usually use this kind of long lens for a portrait but I noticed that he was in good light with that active expression. Dogs can be a little hard to control and when I am closer they get too rambunctious. Cheers.

Sensuous, revealing, but subtle. I like the symmetry of the makeup and skin tones.

Strangely, those jet contrails in the sky help direct the viewer's eye toward distant buildings. Excellent front to back sharpness, you must have focused on the foreground. Well done.

Excellent sharpness and lighting. We have a lot of 'ex pat' South Africans living here in Canada. One day I asked one of them what he missed the most about his country. He replied, 'the birds, their morning noises'. Really good portfolio.

Even more interesting with you not adding an 'about' explanation. Presumably a plant, protecting itself genetically, the best it can.

Looks more like a bobcat or lynx, with the short tail and pointed ears. Interesting to see something living a natural life, not the 'canned tuna' existence of a subservient species. Really good image.

Brilliant waxing gibbus moon, Ron. When I saw the Tychos crater at 6:00, I knew that we had to be at the same latitude. You may be surprised to discover that this shot will be better than a full moon image, as side lighting gives a better feel for the depth of those distant craters.

Cheers.

Really good exposure, not so easy with intense contrasts and wide dynamic range.

Looks like it was snowing when you took the pic. So, is crater lake a remnant of an impact crater from a meteorite?

Ha, ha, very funny. Not sure I ever understood Red, but somebody must, as he's been around a long time.

Certainly eye catching. I like the selective colors, partly why the thumbnail draws attention. Original.

Very nice, Gregory. Reminds me of a canoe trip I once did on the Nahanni a few years ago, though the trees there were smaller. I really like the placement of the canoe, well to the bottom. On my moniter it seems to need a little curves tweaking to boost contrast in the hills.

Cheers,

Dave

Good contrast but you need better focus. Remember the tripod, also remember to lock up the mirror to prevent camera shake with mirror slap. If you don't have a remote trigger use the timer.

Impressive abstract. The fact that it was found in an everyday scene is even more impressive.

Effective angle of view, and good background. The '26' sign feels like a minor distraction. Otherwise this could be long ago, save the jet trails in distant sky.

Beautiful model. I might have liked a little more catchlight in her eyes. Creative angle of view and composition.

Wow, what a powerful image. Sorry I can't understand your 'about' section. That glistening sweat on the brow coujures up all kinds of possible situations. Drama.

Very alluring view, an outstanding landscape. I thought this was film based on the prominent grain in the sky. Minor oversharpening/compression artefact in the distant trees. I played with this a little in noise ninja to see if I could smooth out a bit of the grain in the sky. Overall well done.

I like that in-close wide-angle format, with attractive background to set the mood. Really gives you the feel of blowing wind in a dynamic way. Good tonal depth. I would have liked to see more eye in the man at the foreground. Guess you take what you can get in a candid snap. I'll have to try this one day, it's better than my usual hiking image.

If you do figure out how Registax works, let me know. I've been strugling with that all month without a lot of success. It seems to be designed for huge stacks of webcam images.
