The panorama was a good choice here. It really gives the feel of cramped quarters.

A creative masterpiece, certainly would have commercial value.

Do you know the species? Good positioning and exposure.

Very alluring view, an outstanding landscape. I thought this was film based on the prominent grain in the sky. Minor oversharpening/compression artefact in the distant trees. I played with this a little in noise ninja to see if I could smooth out a bit of the grain in the sky. Overall well done.

I like that in-close wide-angle format, with attractive background to set the mood. Really gives you the feel of blowing wind in a dynamic way. Good tonal depth. I would have liked to see more eye in the man at the foreground. Guess you take what you can get in a candid snap. I'll have to try this one day, it's better than my usual hiking image.

If you do figure out how Registax works, let me know. I've been strugling with that all month without a lot of success. It seems to be designed for huge stacks of webcam images.

A memorable image, Andre. Not sure I've ever been this close to a white-tail buck before, as I didn't recognize the facial markings.

What an interesting composition, Romek. I'll call this one outstanding for creativity. I might have cropped off the bottom inch, to make the moving car more dramatic. But my real feeling is envy that you had the vision to find such an interesting composition in an ordinary scene.

Well, I like the shot too, although it is unquestionably a composite of two images, a wide angle and a telephoto shot. The moon is too large for a wide angle shot like this, and it looks fake. It is also inverted and reversed for a northern latitude view, and the apparent position of the sun would not produce the phase of the moon shown -- It should be a narrow crescent. Finally, at f8 for this kind of good exposure of the moon, the shutter speed would be about 1/400 sec, not 15 sec. At 15 sec all you would see is a burned out white mark, regardless of the ISO setting.

All that said, your creation is eye catching and attractive, with a good composition. Just not real.

Thanks, Todd. For some reason I had thought that those kind of long exposures didn't work so well in the digital format, because of noise. Obviously I was wrong.

Cool, manual guiding in a digital format. Did you shoot a chain of short exposures and then stack later, or did you shoot one long bulb exposure?

An ND grad might have helped to bring those distant cliffs into exposure balance with the rest of the frame. Or, maybe a gradient later in photoshop.

Brilliant singular attention, and also very good use of negative space. Love how you've gotten rid of all extraneous detail.

Interesting landscape, and certainly eyecatching. However on my moniter it is oversaturated and a hair oversharpened. Surreal.

What a great wide angle shot, Rob. And I still sometimes wonder why I want a full frame digital, go figure. I'll have to bookmark this image as a reminder.

Great focus on the hands. Elsewhere focus seems a tad off, perhaps movement or maybe narrow DOF. Regardless, a carefully posed image, nicely seen.

Care to share exposure info here, Todd? Did you stack several images, and if so what software do you use?

Very funny story, and an excellent picture as well. It must have been difficult for an Alaskan bear like yourself, sweltering in the rainforest just north of the equator. I'd love to go, but hate that wet heat. Give me an igloo any day.
